Abstract submission

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT

You may give a maximum of two presentations. This number includes both oral and poster presentations. You are required to submit a separate abstract for each presentation.

Abstracts will be accepted until (July 1st, 2017) (August 1st, 2017) August 15th, 2017. However, you are invited to submit your abstract well before the submission deadline.

The SAMPLE text is for demonstration purposes only. Replace the sample title, author listing, author affiliations, and abstract text in the sample abstract with your abstract title, author listing, author affiliations, and text.

Instructions

FORMAT
Abstracts are limited to 300 words (excluding the author listing, author affiliations and abstract title).

Abstracts must be DOC document (MS Word 97/2003/2007/2010)

Font: Times New Roman, 12 point, single spaced.

Title: Bold type, and centered across the page.

Include one line space between the title and the name(s) of the author(s), and between author name(s) and affiliation(s).

Author names are centered and identified with number superscripts to correspond to author affiliations (Please see template for clarification).

Underline the designated presenting author’s name.

Author affiliations are centered and identified with number superscripts to correspond to the respective author name;

Abstract body alignment is left-justified.

TITLE
The title should be in bold letters and centered on the page (please do not use upper and lowercase and do not put a period at the end of your title).

The title is limited to 15 words.

AUTHOR
Author names should be full names, without initials (for example, Trân Triêu Quân, John Doe, Juan Rodríguez Álvarez).

No title such as “Prof.”, “Dr.”, or “PhD”should be used.

Please ensure that the presenting authors name is underlined.  If presenting author’s affiliation is different, please use superscripts to identify the author and the affiliation (for example:  Susan Smith1, John Doe2, University1, University 2,) (Please see template for clarification).

BODY TEXT
The abstract body must include the following subjects: Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion/Recommendation.

The abstract must be organized in one single paragraph (no new paragraphs and no headings are to be used to identify each subject – headings and paragraphs are used in the abstract template merely to highlight the various subjects to cover in your abstract).

CONTACT INFORMATION

Include the designated presenting author’s email address.

  • For a symposium

If you wish to convene or organize a symposium, you are required to submit an overall abstract for the symposium and an individual abstract for each presentation within the symposium.

The SAMPLE text is for demonstration purposes only. Replace the information in the sample abstract (symposium title, symposium convener’s name, symposium convener’s affiliation and symposium abstract text) with the information pertaining to your symposium.

INDIVIDUAL ABSTRACTS

As the convener/organizer of a symposium, you are responsible for calling on each speaker to prepare an individual abstract for their presentation and asking them to send their abstract to you so that you can submit them, along your overall abstract, to RCP2017 for consideration for inclusion in the scientific program of the conference.

In the event that you also present a paper as one of the speakers within the symposium, you should also be listed as another speaker in your overall abstract and submit an individual abstract for your presentation.

Peer Review and Announcement

All submissions will be peer reviewed.  Decisions about submissions will be announcedtwo weeks later.

If your submissionis accepted and you have paid the conference, you will receive a letter of invitation to present at the conference.

 

NOTE: Given the purpose of regional conferences such as RCP2017, the conference registration fees are set as low as possible to make the event as affordable and accessible as possible for those who wish to attend it. It follows that the RCP organizers are unable to provide funding to those who present at the conference.
